Greetings From Less Than Jake and Seasons Greetings From Less Than Jake are 2 EP’s released consecutively by you guessed it Less Than Jake. The Band describes these EP’s as
“Consider both groups of songs- the salt to the pepper, the peanut butter to the jelly, you get it right?”
The best analogy I can think of is any Pokémon game released on the game boy. They were always released in pairs. That’s how you should look at these EP’s, a pair.
Something to note about both EP’s is that they were both released without notice, possibly to combat illegal downloads. It wouldn’t shock me if other bands followed suit.
Greetings From Less Than Jake was released in 2011. Overall this EP is what Less Than Jake is. Over their tenure as a band they haven’t changed much which is what has made them last so long. “Goodbye Mr. Personality” and “Oldest Trick In The Book” are the standouts on this EP. Greetings From Less Than Jake is a solid EP that any fan of Less Than Jake will enjoy.
Moving to Season’s Greetings From Less Than Jake which was released this year.
A small difference in overall tone with this EP, a little faster than its partner but just as enjoyable. “Finer Points of Forgiveness” is the highlight for me on this EP, the way the song flows is just perfect and it closes out the EP nicely. The reason I decided to review both these EP’s together is because they are one in the same. What I would suggest is listening to both EP’s one after the other starting with Greetings From Less Than Jake. Just imagine it as Less Than Jake’s eighth studio album. In “Oldest Trick In The Book” Chris Demakes sings

I'll change the world before I go With These Two EP’s Less Than Jakes further prove why they should still be relevant and that they can still make awesome music.
